Pilonidal Sinus Post Operation Pilonidal Sinus - Post Op Pain...?

Pilonidal sinus - Post op pain...? - pilonidal sinus post operation

I recently had surgery for a Pilonidal Sinus. (17.03.09)
It remained an open wound to endure the pain, until about 3 days when I started with muscle spasms that are very painful and can occur at any time, especially when I am moving.

Anyway, I ask the personal experience of time of grief? (or at least until he can go to the normal day without much discomfort)
Do you have these muscle spasms?
Relief of pain and what you learned?
What was the last discharge?
because the download has a strong odor?

Thank you.

I had my surgery (removal of closed) on 3/16/09, but I had opened a flat tire in front of a cure and a lot of research, so hopefully I can help ...

1. The pain should decrease steadily, but it is from person to person. Sometimes the pain is intensified if the doctor uses a longer anesthesia during the operation. If you are prescribed painkillers disadvantages have to be considered (as required or as needed if you do not have the maximum allowed). If she does not feel the need for prescription drugs and you should call your doctor and ask.

2. No, I had no muscle cramps. However, I showed a lot of pain (especially since I Operation) to puncture. Severe pain in May on the wrong track regrow nerve cells, or could be moving damage, or a problem.I do not know if the cramps are normal. Again, I suggest you to your doctor to discuss if possible.

3. After puncture and I was prescribed after surgery, Vicodin, Percocet and Vicodin (perc. am not wrong). I took to be necessary, but I think that for the firTwo weeks after the surgery I had more drugs and was a little less active. This week, I always take Vicodin for pain, but not often.

4. My incision is still draining. I had my son will be deleted, and there are several small open wounds (the points) has not yet closed the wound, so I guess that's why a little more of the drain is now. I've heard, drainage injuries a few days to several months, when healing is not good. This varies from person to person.

5. No, there is a strong smell, but a slight odor. If the download contains pus (green), which is absolutely not good, and you should see your doctor immediately. Exudate is not the same as pus, and that's fine. It may be whitish or yellowish and smells, but in my experience, there is a strong smell. If you have concerns, you should consult your doctor.

My advice is to spend so much time, you do not work, but away from short walks around the house or for a few minutes will probably not be bad. I'm not saying that working with because it could cause unnecessary stress on the wound when it is open or healing, I'll take it, because it operates less than two weeks. Try not to bend too much or lying on your back, especially if one of them cause you pain. Be careful when meeting to consider available with a pillow or Kush Tush (pilonidal.org further information).

You did not mention the extent of the injury or antibiotics, so that these reactions are not as accurate as possible. I hope that was a little help.

I suggest you visit www.pilonidal.org and read some information, both on different sides and in the "community" with forums. If the publication of these issues, then they may get far more responses from people with more experience than me My advice is that if you are going and not to some of the other problems they had grieved. Most people who recover and have no other problems after surgery, people with problems that often repeated, which is good, are, because have a lot of information, but bad because their stories are shocking.
